We pride ourselves on taking every effort to ensure accuracy and that your expectations are met. However, we are not liable for errors in customer submitted art or designer’s files which inadvertently become part of the product.

Changes or Cancellations:
Changes to orders in progress may require additional charges and/or time. You will be billed for actual work performed on orders cancelled in progress.

Damaged Goods/Claims:
If your shipment has been damaged in transit, please mark the shipper “Received Damaged” and call us immediately. We’ll provide you with further instructions.

Colour Proofing:
Because of differences in equipment, paper, inks and other conditions between colour proofing and production pressroom operations, a reasonable variation in colour between colour proofs and the completed job is to be expected. When variations of this kind occurs, it will be considered acceptable performance.

Electronic Files Submission:
We accept all Macintosh or Macintosh compatible files in QuarkXpess, PageMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop and FreeHand. We are generally able to use PC versions of these programs. Any electronic files sent in must have a completed “Disk Output Request Form”, laser output (hard-copy), printer and screen fonts and attached or imbedded graphic files (EPS, TIFF etc.). Please do not apply traps, we will provide that service at no charge. Incorrect files or problems with PC disks may incur additional charges. Normal production time begins with acceptable film output from your file. It is the customer’s responsibility to maintain a copy of the original file. Beaver Small Box is not responsible for accidental damage to media or other information or materials supplied by the customer or for the accuracy of furnished input or final output. Until digital input can be evaluated for Beaver Small Box, no claims or promises are made about Beaver Small Box ability to work with jobs submitted in digital format, and no liability is assumed for problems that may arise. Be certain all traps (colour fits) have been applied; one-to-one colour fits may not register on press. When combining an overall or large solid background with a screened area of the same colour, a separate negative (double bump) of just the solid colour is necessary.

Over-runs or Under-runs:
Due to the number of production processes in the manufacture of your box, it is not possible to determine the exact quantity we will complete. Please indicate your desired quantity using one of the following methods. “STANDARD TRADE PRACTICE” - You will be billed for the exact quantity shipped, not to exceed 10% over or under the quantity ordered. “NO OVERS” - Must be indicated on order. Printing: PMS Colours:
The print base price includes one or two PMS (Pantone Matching System) colour(s), hairline registration of copy and bleeds. When necessary, a protective overall gloss coating may need to be applied.

Printing: Four-Colour Process:

The four-colour process base price is based on customer supplying a complete set of colour separated composite negatives and a colour proof. A 150 line screen produces the best results.

Printing: Heavy Ink Coverage:
Refers to the increased amount of ink necessary for a solid block of colour. We will notify you of the additional charge prior to production. If necessary, a flood gloss coating may need to be applied. When combining an overall background or large solid area with a screened area of the same colour, a separate negative of just the solid area is necessary. This allows us to run the screen clean and double bump the solid area.

Quotations are based on the accuracy of specifications provided. Beaver Small Box can re-quote a job at time of submission if copy, film, or other input materials do not conform to the information on which the original quotation was based.
